Need2Know® is a registered trademark of the company for a cryptographic key management system that enforces access policy to data objects through strong cryptography. N2K is InfoAssure's answer to the evolving requirement for secure information sharing critical for improving our nation's Homeland Security and the Global War On Terrorism (GWOT). The N2K design is modular and provides for strong configurable identification, authentication, authorization and full active auditing of both the PC client and server administrative functions. N2K also provides protection of the client/admin applications with vaccine technology that protects against malicious mobile code attacks. InfoAssure has completed the first prototype of its unique just-in-time encryption key management software and the Key Protection Module (KPM) client software.
InfoAssure intends to provide an Open API for the KPM. It will be available for academic peer review to facilitate rapid global acceptance and integration by governments, academia, security and enterprise software product developers and system integration vendors.
